Docomo makes a half-arsed attempt at roaming again

Vodafone always offered the best options for serious roamers like myself with most of their 3G mobiles including GSM but the Nikkei Net Interactive recently reported Docomo is trying to keep customers once number portability kicks in by expanding their roaming line up.

Unfortunately only one of these mobiles does GSM making roaming with other Docomo mobiles a strictly 3G affair. I'm not sure if any Docomo execs get to travel overseas much but if they did they should have worked out 3G coverage outside Japan is either flakey or non-existent. Silly Docomo.
