Stop calling Safari on the iPhone a mobile browser!
Can everyone please stop referring to Safari on the iPhone as a mobile browser because it has none of the capabilities of a mobile browser, OK.

Hmm, could you elaborate? I guess even calling it a "portable browser" would be too far off. No personal experience with iPhone and limited with Safari. I rather use Firefox, non mobile.
A mobile browser should:
1. Have the ability to reformat content to a screens width: having to scroll sideways is just as obnoxious on a mobile as on a desktop browser. The iPhone cannot do this.
2. Mobile browsers should follow the "handheld" CSS media standard. Allowing the user to toggle between "handheld" and "screen" is even better but the iPhone ignores all handheld CSS.
Safari is a great browser but it's not a mobile browser and is less useable on the iPhone because of this.
Imho, safari is a cool browser...
